Chichén-Itzá*

Chichén-Itzá is a historic Mayan site located in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It was once a major center of Mayan civilization and is home to impressive archaeological ruins, including the iconic El Castillo pyramid, which served as a temple dedicated to the Mayan god Kukulkan. Other notable structures include the Temple of Warriors, the Great Ball Court, and the Sacred Cenote. Visitors can explore these impressive structures and learn about the fascinating history and culture of the ancient Mayan people.  Overall, Chichén-Itzá is a must-visit destination for history buffs and anyone interested in exploring the rich cultural heritage of the Mayan civilization.

Pyramid

Day 1

  • Meet director at Cancun or Tulum airport

  • Take shuttle to lodging and spend the afternoon exploring local food, crafts, and nightlife

  • Free time and dinner

Day 2

  • Visit Chichén Itzá, a Cenote and Valladolid with free time to explore

  • Recover energy and enjoy regional Mexican food with an included buffet lunch 

  • Gain great insight into Mayan culture with this full day guided tour 

  • Return to lodging, free time and dinner

     

Day 3

  • Visit Xel-Ha all-inclusive water park

  • Entrance fees include breakfast, lunch, and early dinner buffets and drinks

  • Enjoy snorkeling, relaxing on a lazy river, jumping off a cliff, and riding the tallest waterslide in México

  • Optional activities available such as swimming with dolphins, power snokeling, Snuba Cenote, and more!

Day 4

  • Take a ferry to Isla Mujeres

  • Visit playa norte and relax on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world

  • Enjoy shopping, food, and optional activities such as golf car or scooter rental, snorkeling, boat tours, etc.

  • Take ferry back and spend the evening in La Zona Hotelera for eating, drinking and dancing

Cancun

Day 5

  • Playa del Carmen, Tulum, or Cancun beach day

  • Enjoy all day at one of these incredible beaches or shopping in nearby markets

  • Sunbathe, snorkel, or sign up for optional excursions with local tour guides

  • Finish the evening off discovering local nightlife and dining options

Day 6

  • Shuttle from lodging to Cancun Airport

  • Adios Quintana Roo!

Program Costs*

  • This trip is planned on a minimum of 8 travelers, 10 maximum.  If less sign up, fees go up.

  • Program costs are $1500 per person(based on group lodging, dates, and availability)

  • I will be with the group the entire time of this trip for peace of mind

  • The itinerary is flexible in case of changing plans or tastes, but this may change the costs of the trip

  • $500 dollar non-refundable deposit is required to lock in lodging and entrance fees; program costs go up the closer we get to the travel date
